Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
April 5, 1995
TO: Honorable Senfronia Thompson, Chair IN RE: Committee Substitute
Committee on Judicial Affairs for
House of Representatives House Bill
Austin, Texas No. 2093
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2093 (relating to applications for emergency detentions of
certain persons at risk of harming themselves or others because
of the effects of mental illness or substance abuse) this office
has determined the following:
It is likely that the bill would increase costs to counties as a
result of increased demand on the resources of the probate
clerk's office.
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The fiscal implication to units of local government cannot be
determined.
