LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session March 20, 1995 TO: Honorable Barry Telford, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2168 Committee on Pensions & Investments By: Kuempel House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 2168 (relating to participation and credit in, contributions to, and benefits and administration of the Texas Municipal Retirement System) this office has determined the following: The bill would allow municipalities that participate in the Texas Municipal Retirement System to contribute no more than an additional 0.5 percent of payroll in order to actuarially fund an optional change in benefit eligibility. No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
