FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2200 (Relating to the exemption of certain training programs for
plumbers from the regulations applicable to proprietary schools.)
this office has determined the following:
The bill would add to the definition of proprietary school, a
course or courses of instruction by bona fide plumbing trade
associations for the purpose of preparing students for plumbing
tests and programs required for licensing, certification, or
endorsement and for the purpose of providing continuing education
programs approved by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners.
No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
