LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
April 17, 1995
TO: Honorable Edmund Kuempel, Chair IN RE: Committee
Committee on State Recreational Substitute
Resources for House
House of Representatives Bill No. 2216
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2216 (relating to the issuance of licenses and stamps by the
Parks and Wildlife Department; providing penalties) this office
has determined the following:
The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for and appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.
The bill would allow the Parks and Wildlife Commission to
increase the issuance and collection fees retained by license
deputies, authorize the Commission to set a different license
year, establish license packages for hunting, fishing other
activities, enable the Commission to establish an automated
license and stamp point of sale system, simplify the process for
obtaining hunting cooperative licenses and modify the fee
structure for private bird hunting area licenses.
The fiscal implication to the State cannot be determined.
No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
