LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
April 17, 1995
TO: Honorable Hugo Berlanga, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2352
Committee on Public Health By: Harris, Jack
House of Representatives
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2352 (Relating to certain licensing requirements applicable to
persons providing services in the production of a motion picture
or other film image.) this office has determined the following:
The bill would exempt from the provisions of the Cosmetology
Regulatory Act a person who performs services, or who owns,
operates, or manages a location where the services are performed
for the primary purpose of enabling or assisting the recipient of
the services in being the subject of a motion picture or film
image. The Texas Cosmetology Commission anticipates that there
would be no direct fiscal implications to the Commission, other
than minor programming changes, as a result of this bill.
No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
