In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2462 (Relating to the allocation of certain funds to certain
institutions of higher education.) this office has determined the
following:

The bill would specify how funds appropriated by Article VII,
Section 17(a), Texas Constitution would be allocated among
participating institutions of higher education.  It also
specifies eligible uses of the funds and mandates a review and
adjustment of the allocation formula in 1999.


No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
