LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session April 2, 1995 TO: Honorable Harvey Hilderbran, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2468 Committee on Human Services By: Coleman House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 2468 (Relating to the creation of an advisory committee for the Department of Protective and Regulatory Services on programs for promoting the adoption of and provision of services to adoptable African-American children.) this office has determined the following: The bill would establish a 12-member advisory committee within the Department of Protective and Regulatory Services to promote the adoption of and provision of services to adoptable African- American children. The committee would meet at least quarterly to study and recommend programs and projects to further this objective. The department would report to the Legislature every two years on the committee's recommendations and the action taken by the department. The committee members would be reimbursed for their actual and necessary expenses. No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
