House of Representatives

FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2510 (Relating to regulation of certain irrigators and irrigation
system installers.) this office has determined the following:
The bill would establish accreditation requirements for training
courses and continuing education requirements for licensed
irrigators.
The bill would authorize the reimbursement of travel and per diem
expenses of members of the Texas Irrigators Advisory Council.
The probable fiscal implication of implementing the provisions of
the bill during each of the first five years following passage
is estimated as follows:
Fiscal Probable Cost Out Change in
Year of Irrigators Number of State
Fund 468 Employees from
FY 1995
1996 $102,223 1.5
1997 90,983 1.5
1998 90,983 1.5
1999 90,983 1.5
2000 90,983 1.5
Similar annual fiscal implications would continue as long as the
provisions of the bill are in effect.
No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
