In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2522 (relating to participation in benefits from the Employees
Retirement System of Texas for certain law enforcement officers)
this office has determined the following:

The bill would amend the Government Code related to the Law
Enforcement and Custodial Officers Supplemental Retirement Fund
(LECOS) so that ERS members who are commissioned as law
enforcement officers by the State Board of Pharmacy would be
eligible for LECOS benefits.


No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
