LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
April 10, 1995
TO: Honorable Keith Oakley, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2617
Committee on Public Safety By: Oakley
House of Representatives
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2617 (relating to the operation and management of the Bill
Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas and to
membership on that institute's advisory board) this office has
determined the following:
The bill would eliminate the requirement that the Bill Blackwood
Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas be operated as a
joint program between Sam Houston State University, Texas A&M
University, and Texas Woman's University. The bill would also
modify the membership of the Institute's advisory board by
abolishing those appointments made by the presidents of Texas A&M
University and Texas Woman's University.
No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
