LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session April 10, 1995 TO: Honorable Keith Oakley, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2617 Committee on Public Safety By: Oakley House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 2617 (relating to the operation and management of the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas and to membership on that institute's advisory board) this office has determined the following: The bill would eliminate the requirement that the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas be operated as a joint program between Sam Houston State University, Texas A&M University, and Texas Woman's University. The bill would also modify the membership of the Institute's advisory board by abolishing those appointments made by the presidents of Texas A&M University and Texas Woman's University.
