In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2640 (Relating to uniform dates for adding or dropping a course
conducted by a public junior college) this office has determined
the following:

The bill would require the Higher Education Coordinating Board to
develop rules related to establishment of a uniform add/drop date
for all public junior/community colleges counted from the first
day of class.  A student would not be entitled to a refund of any
tuition and fees for a course dropped after the uniform drop
date.


No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
