In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2647 (relating to the rules for general application of the Texas
Department of Insurance) this office has determined the
following:

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code to require that
Department of Insurance rules and regulations must include
reference to the appropriate statutory authority.


No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
