LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session April 2, 1995 TO: Honorable Harvey Hilderbran, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2660 Committee on Human Services By: Hilderbran House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 2660 (Relating to area agencies on aging and the coordination of their planning and services within health and human services regions.) this office has determined the following: The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill. The bill requires aggregation by the Texas Department on Aging of 28 area agency's planning documents and data according to the state's 11 health and human service regions. The bill would prohibit the Department from altering the designation of area agencies on aging in place as of January 1, 1995. No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
