FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
April 2, 1995
TO: Honorable Harvey Hilderbran, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2660
Committee on Human Services By: Hilderbran
House of Representatives
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2660 (Relating to area agencies on aging and the coordination of
their planning and services within health and human services
regions.) this office has determined the following:
The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.
The bill requires aggregation by the Texas Department on Aging of
28 area agency's planning documents and data according to the
state's 11 health and human service regions. The bill would
prohibit the Department from altering the designation of area
agencies on aging in place as of January 1, 1995.
No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
