LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session May 1, 1995 TO: Honorable Senfronia Thompson, Chair IN RE: Committee Substitute Committee on Judicial Affairs forHouse Bill House of Representatives No. 2818 Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 2818 (Relating to the appointment of bailiffs by certain judges.) this office has determined the following: The bill would permit the judges of the 9th, 2nd 9th, 221st, 359th and 284th District Courts and the judges of the statutory county courts in Montgomery County to appoint a bailiff whose salary is set by the judge and paid out of the general fund of the county. No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
