In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2845 (Relating to the powers, functions, authority, and duties of
the Automobile Theft Prevention Authority.) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would transfer the Automobile Theft Prevention Authority
to the Department of Transportation from the Criminal Justice
Division in the Governor's Office. The bill would also allow the
authority to refund monies to an insurer after an affirmative
determination of the eligible members of the Authority.


No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
