FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2910 (relating to criminal history checks for applicants and
licensees regulated under Article 4413(29bb) V.A.C.S.) this
office has determined the following:

The probable fiscal implication of implementing the provisions of
the bill during each of the first five years following passage
is estimated as follows:

            Fiscal Probable Savings Change in
Year to General Number of State
                        Revenue Employees from
                        Fund 001 FY 1995

          1996 $0 .0

          1997 0 .0
          1998 69,258 (2.0)

          1999 69,258 (2.0)
          2000 69,258 (2.0)

Similar annual fiscal implications would continue as long as the
provisions of the bill are in effect.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
