LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session April 19, 1995 TO: Honorable Fred Hill, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2969 Committee on Urban Affairs By: McCoulskey House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 2969 (relating to the acquisition of land and facilities by a municipality; authorizing the issuance of municipal bonds) this office has determined the following: The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill. The bill would authorize a municipality to acquire land and buildings, by any lawful means other than eminent domain, for the purpose of selling or leasing, the facilities to a higher education institution which will provide a significant number of vocational and vocational-technical education courses in the facility.
