FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
3000 (relating to the collection, compiling, exchanging, and use
of information related to criminal activity, fraud, material
misrepresentation or nondisclosure in connection with an
insurance transaction) this office has determined the following:

The bill would amend the Insurance Code to add a new article
providing that any person, including insurers, agents and their
employees, may provide information that the person deems
reasonable and necessary to prevent criminal activity, fraud,
material representation, or material non-disclosure in connection
with insurance transactions.

No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
