In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
3003 (Relating to the control and eradication of cotton pests by
the Department of Agriculture.) this office has determined the
following:

The bill would amend provisions of the Texas Agriculture Code
relating to the control and eradication of cotton pests. The
bill would amend provisions relating to the composition of
administrative committees which govern pest management zones,
definitions of cotton pests, and repeal other provisions relating
to the eradication of the boll weevil and pink bollworm.

No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
