LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
April 17, 1995
TO: Honorable David Counts, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 3032
Committee on Natural Resources By: Alexander
House of Representatives
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
3032 (Relating to the regulation of petroleum storage tanks.)
this office has determined the following:
The bill would require the use of risk-based technologies in the
evaluation of corrective action plans for the remediation of
storage tanks that may pollute water resources. The use of risk-
based technologies is expected to reduce average clean-up costs
at leaking tank sites. The potential savings, however, cannot be
determined.
The fiscal implication to the State cannot be determined.
No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
