LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session April 4, 1995 TO: Honorable Senfronia Thompson, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 3169 Committee on Judicial Affairs By: Seidlits House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 3169 (relating to the statutory county courts in Grayson County) this office has determined the following: The bill would expand the jurisdiction of statutory county courts of law in Grayson County and would allow the commissioners court to set the salaries for judges of county courts of law in Grayson County at an amount that is at least 85 percent of the annual salary of a district court judge. No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. Grayson County anticipates an increase of approximately $16,000 for the salary and benefits for the two county court of law judges.
