May 1, 1995
TO: Honorable David Counts, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 3231
Committee on Natural Resources By: J. Harris
House of Representatives
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
3231 (Relating to the Brazoria County Drainage District No. 4;
the powers and duties of the district; the election, terms, and
compensation of district commissioners; filling vacant positions
on the district board of commissioners; changing the name of the
district; authorizing the issuance of bonds and imposition of a
tax; and granting the power of eminent domain.) this office has
determined the following:
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of
local government of the same type or class, no comment from this
office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its
probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
