In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
131 (Relating to the duties of the Department of Protective and
Regulatory Services regarding domestic violence.) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.

The bill would require the Department of Protective and
Regulatory Services to adopt rules requiring documentation of
domestic violence and the distribution of written information in
English and Spanish about community services for victims of
domestic violence.  The department must include statistics on
domestic violence in its annual report.

No significant fiscal implication to the State or units of local
government is anticipated.
