In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Committee
Substitute for Senate Bill No. 221 (Relating to the waiver of
tuition and fees for students attending courses that are fully
funded by federal or other sources) this office has determined
the following:

The bill would provide governing boards of public institutions of
higher education the option to waive tuition and fee charges for
students attending courses that are fully funded by federal or
other sources.  It is assumed that governing boards would only
provide such waivers in cases where tuition and fee charges are
fully met by the other funding sources.

No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
