In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
255 (Relating to the distribution of "Earned Income Tax Credits"
information by the Comptroller of Public Accounts and other state
agencies.) this office has determined the following:

The bill would amend Chapter 403, of the Goverment Code by adding
Section 403.0111.  This new section would authorize the
Comptroller's office to promote the awareness of federal earned
income tax credits available to qualified Texas families and
individuals.


No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
