FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
369 (Relating to the continuation and functions of the State
Preservation Board.) this office has determined the following:

The bill would continue the State Preservation Board until
September 1, 1997 and make several changes to the enabling
statute. Some of the more significant changes would provide for
public testimony at the State Preservation Board meetings;
provide for notification and information to the public concerning
State Preservation Board activities: and require the State
Preservation Board funds, with the exception of the Capitol Fund,
to be managed in accordance with the State Funds Reform Act.

The amount set forth for the administration of this agency in the
General Appropriation Act, as introduced, (FY 96=$859,500 and FY
97=$862,500) would be contingent upon passage of SB 369 or
similar legislation. The appropriations would be financed from
the General Revenue Fund and would provide for approximately 23
employees.

No fiscal implication to the state or to units of local
government is anticipated.

No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
