LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session March 21, 1995 TO: Honorable Chris Harris, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 369 Committee on Administration By: Moncrief Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No. 369 (Relating to the continuation and functions of the State Preservation Board.) this office has determined the following: The bill would continue the State Preservation Board until September 1, 1997 and make several changes to the enabling statute. Some of the more significant changes would provide for public testimony at the State Preservation Board meetings; provide for notification and information to the public concerning State Preservation Board activities: and require the State Preservation Board funds, with the exception of the Capitol Fund, to be managed in accordance with the State Funds Reform Act. The amount set forth for the administration of this agency in the General Appropriation Act, as introduced, (FY 96=$859,500 and FY 97=$862,500) would be contingent upon passage of SB 369 or similar legislation. The appropriations would be financed from the General Revenue Fund and would provide for approximately 23 employees. No fiscal implication to the state or to units of local government is anticipated.
