In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
377 (Relating to state agency loan and loan guarantee programs.)
this office has determined the following:

The bill would require the Comptroller of Public Accounts, in
conjunction with the State Auditor and the Texas Department of
Banking, to audit every state agency loan program and loan
guarantee program to determine each program's status, efficiency,
and other information.

The State Auditors Office would be allowed to bill an affected
agency for reimbursement of audit costs.  The comptroller would
be required to complete the audit no later than August 1, 1996.




No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.

The fiscal implication to  the State cannot be determined.
