LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
February 7, 1995
TO: Honorable Bill Sims, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 393
Committee on Natural Resources By: Nixon
Senate
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
393 (Relating to the definition of a liquefied natural gas
system.) this office has determined the following:
The bill would eliminate the jurisdiction of the Railroad
Commission over liquefaction facilities for liquified natural
gas, since these facilities are regulated by the federal
government. The bill would not eliminate any current fees or
personnel associated with liquefied natural gas regulation.
No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
