In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
397 (Relating to service areas of junior college districts and
campuses) this office has determined the following:

The bill would define service areas for community/junior colleges
and would establish the service area for each community/junior
college district.  The bill would require that the establishment
of any new community/junior college district be approved by the
Legislature during or within three months prior to a legislative
session or by the Legislative Budget Board if the Legislature is
not in session.


No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
