LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session April 1, 1995 TO: Honorable Judith Zaffirini, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 658 Committee on Health & Human Services By: Madla Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No. 658 (Relating to the funding and operation of the program to aid certain impaired pharmacists and pharmacy students.) this office has determined the following: The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill. This bill amends the Texas Pharmacy Act to allow the Texas State Board of Pharmacy to raise their surcharge for the impaired pharmacists program from $5 to $10 per licensee. To the extent that the fees would be raised only when additional appropriations are granted to the agency for the impaired pharmacists program, there would be no net impact to the State. No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government is anticipated. Source: Board of Pharmacy LBB Staff: JK, GT, DF
