In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
727 (Relating to certain nonprofit corporations that purchase or
make student or parent loan notes) this office has determined the
following:

The bill would amend V.T.C.A., Education Code, Section 52.47
relating to certain nonprofit corporations that purchase or make
student or parent loan notes.  The bill would expand the
investment options of such nonprofit corporations and allow them
to exercise the powers granted by the Texas Nonprofit
Corporations Act.


No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
