In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
742 (Relating to the duties of the office of public interest
counsel of the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission.)
this office has determined the following:

The bill would prohibit the Texas Natural Resource Conservation
Commission's Office of Public Interest Counsel from being party
to a proceeding before the Commission.

The bill authorizes the Public Interest Counsel to inform
participants in proceedings before the Commission of the
procedural requirements for the proceeding and the status of the
proceeding.

The probable fiscal implication of implementing the provisions of
the bill during each of the first  five years following passage
is estimated as follows:
