LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session March 12, 1995 TO: Honorable Bill Sims, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 742 Committee on Natural Resources By: Sims, Brown Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No. 742 (Relating to the duties of the office of public interest counsel of the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission.) this office has determined the following: The bill would prohibit the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission's Office of Public Interest Counsel from being party to a proceeding before the Commission. The bill authorizes the Public Interest Counsel to inform participants in proceedings before the Commission of the procedural requirements for the proceeding and the status of the proceeding.
