Saunders, Chair IN RE: Senate BillNo. 956, Committee on Land and Resource as engrossed Management By: Luna House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No. 956 (Relating to the conveyance of certain state-owned real property in Bexar County.) this office has determined the following: The bill would authorize the General Land Office to sell and convey the state's interest in two tracts of real property in Bexar County, currently held by the Texas General Services Commission. The General Land Office anticipates expenses for coordinating and executing the sale, including advertising, printing and appraisal of the properties, of $2,131, which would be paid from the proceeds of the sale. Although the exact gain to the Capital Trust Fund from the sale cannot be determined until a new appraisal is completed, at the last appraisal in November, 1989, the value of the properties was estimated to be $60,000. No fiscal implication is anticipated after fiscal year 1996.
