FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
March 19, 1995
TO: Honorable Ken Armbrister, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 956
Committee on State Affairs By: Luna, Gregory
Senate
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
956 (Relating to the conveyance of certain state-owned real
property in Bexar County.) this office has determined the
following:
The bill would authorize the General Land Office to sell and
convey the state's interest in two tracts of real property in
Bexar County, currently held by the Texas General Services
Commission. The General Land Office anticipates expenses for
coordinating and executing the sale, including advertising,
printing and appraisal of the properties, of $2,131, which would
be paid from the proceeds of the sale. Although the exact gain
to the Capital Trust Fund from the sale cannot be determined
until a new appraisal is completed, at the last appraisal in
November, 1989, the value of the properties was estimated to be
$60,000. No fiscal implication is anticipated after fiscal year
1996.
The probable fiscal implication of implementing the provisions of
the bill during each of the first five years following passage
is estimated as follows:
Fiscal Probable Revenue
Year Gain to GR
Consolidated -
Texas Capitol
Trust Fund 543
1996 $57,869
1997 0
1998 0
1999 0
2000 0
No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
