In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
1302 (Relating to the regulation of physician assistants;
providing a criminal penalty.) this office has determined the
following:

The bill would amend the Physician Assistants Licensing Act by
changing the name of the regulatory entity from the "Physician
Assistants Advisory Council" to the "Texas State Board of
Physician Assistants Examiners"  as well as changing certain
licensing requirements and disciplinary proceedings.


No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
