FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
1390 (Relating to motorcycle license fees and the motorcycle
education fund.) this office has determined the following:

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.

The bill would increase the cost of an original Class M drivers
license. The bill would also rededicate the revenue from the
additional $5.00 fee for all Class M drivers license
transactions.

The probable fiscal implication of implementing the provisions of
the bill during each of the first five years following passage
is estimated as follows:

Fiscal Probable Revenue Probable Revenue Probable Cost Out
Year Loss to General Gain to of the Motorcycle

Similar annual fiscal implications would continue as long as the
provisions of the bill are in effect.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is
