FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No.
1407 (relating to contractual arrangements among health
maintenance organizations and with physicians and providers) this
office has determined the following:

The bill would amend the Insurance Code with several provision
relating to health maintenance organizations. Implementation of
the provisions of the bill would require the adoption of policy
rules by the Commissioner of Insurance.

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
