LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session April 1, 1995 TO: Honorable Ken Armbrister, Chair IN RE: Senate BillNo. 1513 Committee on State Affairs By: Cain Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Bill No. 1513 (Relating to certain special stops required of motor vehicles at railroad crossings.) this office has determined the following: The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill. The bill would require a driver of a vehicle to stop at a railroad grade crossing if an approaching train is visible or various warning signals are engaged. A person convicted of a violation of the Act would be punished by a fine of not less than $50 or not more than $200.
