LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session March 1, 1995 TO: Honorable Ken Armbrister, Chair IN RE: Senate Joint Committee on State Affairs Resolution Senate No. 29 Austin, Texas By: West, Royce FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on Senate Joint Resolution No. 29 (Proposing a constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to provide for the issuance of bonds for the state financing of start-up costs for historically underutilized businesses.) this office has determined the following: The Resolution proposes a constitutional amendment which, if adopted, would authorize the Legislature to provide for the issuance of $50,000,000 in general obligation bonds for capital growth and start-up funds for HUB's. Fiscal implications would be dependent upon enabling legislation such as SB 382 or similar legislation. The cost to the State for publication of the resolution is $90,000.
