Amend CSHB 1 by adding the following appropriately numbered
rider on page I-14 after the appropriations to the Office of the
Attorney General:
      ___.  FEDERAL CRIME VICTIMS FUND MONEY.  Of the amounts
appropriated in Item C.1.1., Crime Victim Compensation, the amounts
representing payments from the federal Crime Victims Fund under 42
U.S.C. Section 10601 et seq. shall be disbursed in grants to public
and private agencies providing medical, mental health, and other
services to crime victims.  In making grants under this provision,
the Attorney General shall give priority to programs serving
victims of child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence.  The
grants may be used to provide direct compensation to victims or, to
the extent permitted by federal law, to reimburse agencies for
services provided to victims at a reduced or no charge.
