Amend CSHB 1 by adding the following appropriately numbered
rider on page XI-43 after the items to be considered for
appropriation to the Texas Youth Commission:
      EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION. Out of the amounts specified in this
article, the Texas Youth Commission shall increase salaries to its
employees so that it compensates the employees at the same rates at
which employees of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice having
similar duties and similar amounts of experience are compensated.
