      Amend CSHB 4 as follows:
      (1)  On page 43, lines 3 and 4, strike "for purposes of
maintenance and operations taxes".
      (2)  On page 43, lines 5 and 6, strike "for purposes of
maintenance and operations taxes".
      (3)  On page 43, line 7 and 8, between "Section 403.302(d)"
and bracket, insert "or (e)".
      (4)  On page 70, between lines 17 and 18, insert the
following:
      (f)  If a school district would have received a greater
amount under this chapter for the applicable school year using the
adjusted value determined under Section 42.256, the commissioner
shall add the difference between the adjusted value and the amount
the district received under this chapter to subsequent
distributions to the district under this chapter.
