Amend Committee Amendment No. 2 to HB 1542 by striking the
text of the amendment and substituting the following:
      Amend HB 1542 in SECTION 1 of the bill by striking proposed
Section 26.040(a)(5)(B), Water Code (committee printing, page 1,
lines 46-48), and substituting:
                  (B)  the category of discharges covered by the
general permit will not include a discharge of:
                        (i)  pollutants that will cause significant
adverse effects to water quality; or
                        (ii) more than 500,000 gallons into surface
water during any 24-hour period.
