Amend CSHB 1869 as follows:
      (1)  On page 1, line 5, strike "by adding Subsection (j)" and
substitute "by adding Subsections (j) and (k)".
      (2)  On page 1, between lines 14 and 15, insert the
following:
      (k)  Subsection (j) of this section does not apply to a
traffic violation that occurred on or after the first day the
policy was in effect if the insured was convicted of or paid a fine
for:
                  (A)  driving while under the influence of
alcohol, controlled substance, drugs, or a combination of two or
more of these substances;
                  (B)  involuntary manslaughter;
                  (C)  criminally negligent operation of a motor
vehicle; or
                  (D)  any other reason permitted under Sec. 4 of
this Article.
