Amend CSHB 2542 as follows:
      (1)  On page 44, line 7, between the period and "The", insert
"(a)".
      (2)  On page 44, between lines 11 and 12, insert the
following:
      (b)  Public notice and the opportunity for public comment at
a hearing must be provided before the commission or the executive
director makes a decision under the authority granted by Subsection
(a).
