Amend CSHB 2644 as follows:
      1)  On page 14, by striking line 14-1 and renumbering
subdivisions (5)-(8) on lines 14-2 through 14-6.
      2)  On page 14-2, line 14-8, by inserting between "insurance"
and "or" the following:  ", be provided by a risk pool authorized
under Chapter 172, Local Government Code."
      3)  On page 15, line 15-68, by adding after "1997." the
following:  "The amendment made by this act to Sec. 22.004,
Education Code, applies beginning with the 1998-99 school year."
