Amend SB 438 as follows:
      (1)  In Section 1 of the bill, in added Section 7, Chapter
50, Acts of the 68th Legislature, Regular Session, 1983 (Article
6145-13, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes) (house committee printing
page 1, line 8), strike "DARRELL K ROYAL" and insert "JACKIE
SHERRILL/R. C.  SLOCUM".
      (2)  In Section 1 of the bill, in added Section 7, Chapter

page 1, line 10), strike "Darrell K Royal" and insert "Jackie

      (3)  Insert a new section appropriately numbered to read as
follows:
      SECTION ___.  The name of the structure on the campus of the
state university located in the city of Austin referred to as
Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium is hereby renamed Jackie
Sherrill/R. C. Slocum-Texas Memorial Stadium.
