Amend SB 1594 by inserting the following appropriately
numbered section and renumbering the sections of the bill
accordingly:
      SECTION __. Chapter 203, Family Code, is amended by adding
Section 203.008 to read as follows:
      Sec. 203.008.  INFORMATION TO ASSIST IN LOCATION OF PERSONS
OR PROPERTY. (a)  If necessary to establish, modify, or enforce a
child support order, a domestic relations office may obtain from
any person information relating to another person's identity,
location, employment, compensation, benefits, income, property
holdings, or other assets.
      (b)  A person receiving a request for information under
Subsection (a) shall:
            (1)  provide the information requested in the most
efficient manner available, including using electronic transfer;
and
            (2)  guarantee the privacy and security of the
information.
      (c)  A person that discloses information under this section
in response to a request from a domestic relations office may not
be held liable for damages that result from the disclosure of the
information.
