Amend CSSB 1913 as follows:
      (1)  In SECTION 1 of the bill (committee printing page 2,
line 2) add a new subsection (b)(10) to read as follows:
      (10)  Transactions in this state involving asset management
contracts with owners of capital equipment.  For the purposes of
this subdivision, "asset management contract" means a contract or
agreement for a separately stated consideration for a specific
duration to manage the capital equipment assets of the owner of the
equipment including, but not limited to, the maintenance costs
associated with service and repair incidents rising from equipment
failure, provided the contractor notifies the owner of the capital
equipment, that the asset management contract is exempt from the
provisions of the Insurance Code.
