DIGEST

Currently, certain reports are required to be filed for ceremonies
relating to fundraising activities. The designated chairman of the
governor for a day ceremony and the chairman of the speaker's reunion day
ceremony are required to file a report with the secretary of state that
details certain information. This bill transfers the duty of filing
reports relating to fundraising for the governor for a day and speaker's
reunion day ceremonies from the secretary of state's office to the Texas
Ethics Commission.

As proposed, H.B. 1449 transfers the duty of filing reports relating to
fundraising for the governor for a day and speaker's reunion day
